NA lawmakers seek clear concept on PSC’s vacancy announcement



KATHMANDU: Lawmakers of the National Assembly (NA) have sought the government’s clear stance about the recent vacancy announced by the Public Service Commission (PSC).

In Wednesday’s meeting of the NA, lawmaker Khem Bishwokarma asked the government to scrap the vacancy announced by the PSC claiming that it was against the sentiments of the constitution as well as proportional and inclusive representation.

Several youths belonging to the indigenous nationalities and Dalit community have launched an agitation arguing that the vacancy announced by the PSC was against the constitution, and principle of social justice. The PSC had on May 29 announced vacancy for 9,161 posts.
