Govt. positive on using CA service in tax administration: Finance Minister



KATHMANDU: Finance Minister Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat has said the government is positive to take the services of chartered accountants in tax administration.

Minister Mahat shared so while addressing the 27th anniversary of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal and the sixth convocation ceremony.

“Good governance is guaranteed if chartered accountants carry out their responsibilities honestly in course of fulfilling professional duties,” he asserted.

The Finance Minister mentioned, “Many things would be resolved after accounting and chartered accountants are up to the mark.”

He added that there is a need to resolve serious types of problems on the basis of their priority after categorizing the arrears.

“Chartered Accountants should be brought into our tax administration,” he added.
