KATHMANDU: In a riveting encounter at the Mulpani Cricket Ground in Kathmandu during the Prime Minister Cup Men’s National Cricket Tournament 2024, the Nepal Police Club asserted its dominance, clinching victory over Madhesh Province by six wickets.

Bowling Masterclass Restricts Madhesh Province

Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, the Nepal Police Club showcased their bowling prowess, limiting Madhesh Province to a mere 96 runs in the initial innings.

The standout performers for the Police Club were Sagar Dhakal and Lalitrajbansi, with an exceptional display of bowling, securing five and four wickets, respectively.

With this victory, Nepal Police Club maintains an unblemished record, having triumphed in all five matches played in the tournament so far. Their consistent performance positions them as the team to beat in the Prime Minister Cup.

Facing a modest target of 96 runs, Nepal Police approached the chase with determination. In a well-executed effort, they secured victory in just 18.3 overs, surpassing the target with a total of 99 runs. The batting display showcased the team’s collective effort in achieving success.
