Cloudy skies, rainfall expected across Nepal today



KATHMANDU: The weather is expected to remain cloudy today in most regions of the country, with the possibility of rainfall in five provinces.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, heavy rainfall is likely in provinces including Koshi, Madesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini.

Nepal is currently experiencing the effects of a low-pressure system situated in the vicinity of India’s Bihar and West Bengal states, as the monsoon trough remains at an average location.

Moderate rainfall has been observed in various parts of the country, including Kathmandu.

Additionally, there is a chance of light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in a few areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as isolated occurrences in other provinces.

Tonight, some regions in Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini, and Gandaki provinces are expected to witness further rain, as predicted by the Weather Forecasting Division.
