Law Minister Gurung insists on improvement of consumer rights

KATHMANDU: Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs,Dhanraj Gurung, has expressed concerns over consumer fraud in various circumstances.

Minister Gurung raised concern about the continued violation of consumer rights.

He added that despite frequent incidences of market monitoring, Nepali consumers continued to fall victim to various unethical marketing practices.

According to the Minister, improvement of consumer rights has been elusive due to the desire for quick benefits in the business.

He asserted that anyone responsible for violation of consumer rights be brought to the book.

He urged the business community to conduct their affairs with honesty and integrity.
