PM Dahal to prioritize implementation of prior agreements during China visit

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda said he would focus on prioritizing the enforcement of previously signed agreements during his upcoming visit to China. He made this statement in response to a question posed by Nepali Congress (NC) lawmaker Udaya Shumsher Rana during Tuesday’s parliamentary session in Kathmandu. Prime Minister Dahal emphasized that his objective is to ensure the implementation of previously negotiated accords and pacts during his visit to China.

Cabinet endorses proposal to revise rules to correct name, surname, age in documents

The government has endorsed the third amendment to regulations governing the correction of age, name and surname. The third revision to the ‘ Correction of Age, Name and Surname Rules, 2017 BS (1963) was proposed by the Ministry of Home Affairs. The previous stringent provisions entertaining correction of age, name, and surname with the limited time of just six months had mainly caused inconvenience to students. In a move to address this issue, the Ministry has extended the correction timeline from six months to five years.

RPP Chair Lingden asserts party will not back present govt in Koshi Province

One succumbs to dengue fever

Hikmat Khatri, 28, from Pachui of Belauri Municipality-8 in the district died of dengue infection last night. Ward No 8 Chairman of Belauri, Bisham Ram Rana, informed that Khatri breathed his last during treatment at Nova Hospital of Dhangadhi in Kailali.
