One killed in motorcycle accident in Palpa

PALPA: A motorcycle accident claimed the life of one individual in Palpa last night.

According to local authorities, the incident occurred on the Tansen-Tamghas road section when a motorcycle with the license plate Lu 42 P 6709, en route from Jorte to Argali, collided with a wall near Argali.

The rider of the motorcycle died in the collision, while the pillion rider sustained injuries, police said.

The deceased has been identified as Naresh Gharti Magar, a 30-year-old resident of Kalimati Rural Municipality in Salyan.

Doctors pronounced him deceased upon arrival at the United Mission Hospital in Tansen.

The pillion rider, identified as Prakash Tharu, a 28-year-old from Nawalparasi Sarawal Municipality-1, sustained injuries in the accident.

He is currently receiving medical treatment at Mission Hospital.

Authorities have said that an investigation is underway to delve into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
