KATHMANDU: The Department of Roads has said that two highways are currently blocked at different locations due to floods and landslides.
The Department has also stated that numerous other highways are restricted to one-way traffic at 33 different points.
Notably, the Muglin-Narayangadh road, which was previously blocked due to landslides, has now been reopened for two-way traffic.
According to the information provided by the Department on their website, the road connecting Dhangadhi-Sahajpur-Budar-Saule, as well as the Satbanjh-Thaktoli-Darchula-Tinkar route, is currently obstructed at Budhitola in Kailali.
Additionally, the road linking Chatra-Mulghat-Majhitar-Amarapurdanda-Ganeshchowk in the Tamor Corridor is facing a blockade at Hewakhola in Panchthar.
Since the onset of the monsoon season, the Department has reported a total of 173 instances of road obstructions.
However, out of these, 138 locations have now been cleared and are fully operational on both sides.
