Three buried in landslide during road excavation



BAGLUNG: Three workers were buried this morning when a mound of earth collapsed while a JCB was excavating a road in Bohragaun, Nisikhola Rural Municipality-3.

Police Chief Phadindra Prasai said the incident occurred along the inner road section from Jhivakhola to Bohragaun. The workers were buried when a mound of earth suddenly collapsed during road upgrading work carried out by a JCV (Lu 1 Ka 3446), operated by driver Bhadra Malla.

The workers buried in the soil have been identified as Lal Bahadur Budhathoki, Raju Thapa Magar and Krishna Bahadur Gharti. Gharti has been rescued in critical condition, while rescue efforts to recover the other two workers are ongoing.
