Axis of Monsoon Trough in usual position, rainfall likely



KATHMANDU: As the Axis of the Monsoon Trough is at its usual position, weather across the country is partly to generally cloudy with some places witnessing heavy rainfall due to the impact of the monsoon low-pressure system today.

According to Meteorological Forecasting Division, it will be generally cloudy throughout the country. Moderate to heavy rainfall is likely to occur in some places in the country.

Light to moderate rainfall has been predicted in Gandaki, Lumbini Province, Karnali Province and Sudur Pashchim this afternoon.

Likewise, the weather tonight will remain partly to generally cloudy throughout the country.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is possible at some places in the terai regions of the country and at a few places in the rest of the country.

The sky in Kathmandu will remain generally cloudy. Rainfall is likely to take place in Bagmati on Monday evening.
