Govt invites second team of usury victims for talks

KATHMANDU: The government has invited the second team of loan-sharking victims who came to Kathmandu seeking justice for talks today.

Earlier, the government had forged a 5-point agreement with the first team of usury victims who had come to Kathmandu, walking for 11 days from Mahottari.

Immediately after the victims signed an agreement, CPN-UML affiliated struggle committee termed the agreement as treachery to the victims and warned to wage protests ahead.

The government urged the loan-sharking victims organized under the ‘Kisaan Mazdur Sangharsh Samiti’ for talks today.
