Free Students’ Union election: Voting underway

KATHMANDU: Voting to elect student leaders to the Free Students’ Union (FSU) in different colleges under the Tribhuvan University (TU) is underway.

The TU, meanwhile, has appealed to all actors and stakeholders to help conduct the FSU election successfully.

The general public and concerned authorities including the federal, provincial and local governments, security agencies, journalists, and civil society have been requested to provide assistance until the poll is concluded.

The poll is supposed to take place every two years.

At least 60 TU constituents and 1,040 affiliated campuses are participating in the poll.

Voting began at 8.00 am and will close at 4.00 pm.

Two constituent and some affiliated colleges have already unanimously elected their FSU office-bearers.
