State 5 CM Pokharel leaves for China



RUPANDEHI: State 5 Chief Minister Shankar Pokharel left here on Monday for Chengdu, China. He left for the Chinese city at an invitation of the International Department of Communist Party of China (CPC).

His delegation includes other 19 members including Nepal Communist Party’s Gandaki State Chief Whip Mayanath Adhikari, state 5 Chief Whip Parbati Pun, Thakurbaba Municipality Mayor Ghana Narayan Shrestha, his private secretary Tiran Raj Gautam and journalist Mohan Bastola.

During the visit, a Memorandum of Understanding is to be signed for the establishment of sisterly relations between the Sichuan Province of China and the State 5.

Besides, two other MoUs will be signed to establish the sisterly relations between a local government at the Sichuan and the Ghorahi sub metropolis and another local government at the Guizhou Province and the Thakurbaba Municipality. The team will return home on July 10.
