Will the cabinet get full shape today as claimed by PM Dahal?



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has intensified political consultations with leaders of the ruling partners, including CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli to give a full shape to the cabinet.

PM Dahal, during a meeting with journalists at his official residence in Baluwatar on Saturday, said that the government would get a full shape by Sunday evening.

On Saturday morning, PM Dahal held a meeting with UML Chairman Oli and discussed cabinet expansion.

“I had a discussion with CPN-UML Oli, and we have agreed to give full shape to the Council of Ministers by Sunday evening,” Prime Minister Dahal said, adding, “After the Council of Ministers is completed tomorrow, a full meeting will be held on Monday.”

The Prime Minister said that he would hold an all-party meeting of all the parties that gave a vote of confidence to the government on January 18 and try to agree on the national agenda.

Meanwhile, on Saturday evening, PM Dahal held a discussion with Rastriya Swatantra Party Chairman and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane on cabinet expansion, among other issues.

PM Dahal also said that the ruling alliance would consider Nepali Congress while settling the names for the Speaker and the President.
