MoHP revises polio vaccine campaign schedule



KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population has revised the time of administrating FIPV, vaccine against polio.

Spokesperson of the Ministry, Dr Sanjay Kumar Thakur, shared that the time of administrating FIVP is changed at the advice of the specialists.

Now, the first dose of vaccine against polio would be administered to the children below one year in 14 weeks and second dose in nine months against six weeks and 14 weeks, respectively.

He said the vaccine can be administered to the children within five years if it is missed at the age of one. The children would get two doses of vaccines at the gap of four months within five years.
