Home-stay facility lures more tourists in Kaski village



KASKI: Yangjakot, a historical and touristic village, in the northeast of Kaski district has received an impressive number of visitors in the aftermath of COVID-19.

With the end of the coronavirus fear, more tourists have visited Yangjakot in Madi Rural Municipality-3 and the panoramic sites there, receiving services from the homestay.

The village is accessible for domestic and foreign visitors, thanks to the development of road network.

Khim Kumari Gurung, a homestay runner, said the village receives some three to four groups of visitors on every single day, while the number of visitors is even higher on weekends and holidays.

The villagers have run nine homestays where more than 130 guests can be accommodated.

Likewise, more visitors stay there since the Yangjakot is also the headquarters of the rural municipality.

The local residents there have shared that the visitors reach the site to get refreshed from the hustle and bustle of the town.

Yangjakot, which lies some 20 kilometers away from Pokhara with 12 kilometers of blacktopped road.
