President Bhandari arrives home after Iceland visit



KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari returned home this morning after completing an official visit to Iceland.

Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Chairperson of National Assembly Ganesh Prasad Timilsina welcomed the President at the VVIP lounge of Tribhuvan International Airport.

President Bhandari had left for Iceland on November 7 to participate in the ‘Women Political Leaders (WPL) program.

On the occasion, President Bhandari was honored with the ‘Women Political Trailblazer Award’, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

President Bhandari’s daughter Ushakiran Bhandari, Foreign Secretary Bharatraj Paudyal and others part of the President’s delegation to Iceland.
