Nepal sees 638 new coronavirus cases, two deaths in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 638 new cases of coronavirus and two deaths in the past 24 hours as of Tuesday.

Out of the confirmed cases, 400 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 238 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 5,055 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 2,215 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 2,840 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 3,714 active cases in the country as 218 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Two COVID-19 related deaths was recorded in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country climbs to 11,959 to date.
