Turkish actor Alton in Nepal



KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Tourism has started inviting foreign celebrities to visit Nepal with the objective of promoting the tourism sector affected by the coronavirus epidemic.

As part of the initiation for tourism revival, famous Turkish actor Engin Alton Düzyatan arrived in Nepal on Monday evening at the invitation of the Ministry.

Actor Alton was welcomed at the Tribhuvan International Airport by Rajaram Giri, Coordinator of the Tourism Revival Committee.

Düzyatan rose to international prominence for his role as Ertuğrul Bey in Diriliş: Ertuğrul.

Actor Alton’s visit is expected to promote Nepal in Turkey and other parts of the world.

According to Giri, the purpose of the program was to convey the message that Nepal is open not only in tourism but also in other fields.

The committee has already set the program for one year.

Foreign ministers and celebrities from various countries are also on the list of invitees scheduled for September.
