Floods and landslides induced by ‘Bhadaure Jhari’ claim 12 in last four days

KATHMANDU: Twelve people have been killed in the floods and landslides induced by the incessant rains in the last four days.

According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction And Management Authority (NDRRMA), three people have gone missing and nine others have been injured in the natural disaster.

According to NDRRMA spokesperson Bishwaprakash Aryal, about 5,000 houses have been inundated and more than 90,000 people have been affected.

Aryal informed that rescue and relief work are being carried out for the flood and landslide victims through the municipality.

Meanwhile, the NDRRMA has also requested to contact the nearest police station and its municipality if rescue and relief are required.
