Health supplies for flood survivors in Melamchi

KATHMANDU: Health supplies have been provided for the survivors of this year’s monsoon floods in Sindhupalchowk.

An organisation called Onestep Foundation, in coordination of the Global Adventure Inclusve Organisation founded by Nepali female Everest summiters, distributed health materials to 500 households affected by floods in Melamchi Municipality, and Helambu and Panchpokhari rural municipalities.

Foundation Chair Dr Suman Shumser Thapa handed the assistance materials to the officials of three local governments.

He said the health materials which also include medicines were distributed for survivors of natural disasters with the objective of promoting the people’s basic right during the crisis.

According to him, a community hospital has been established at Thapathali targeting the urban poor living in the capital and such a kind of hospital will be set up in Jajarkot too in the near future.
