Govt employees’ salary to be hiked by 15 to 25 percent



KATHMANDU: The government is preparing to hike the salary of civil servants by 15 to 25 percent through the budget for the fiscal year 2019-20.

A source at the Ministry for Finance confirmed the salary hike, Rajdhani Daily reported.

The Ministry is under immense pressure to hike the salary of a government employee and increase social security allowance. A salary and allowance review committee headed by Chief Secretary is to recommend the government to hike the salary of civil servants.

The salary of the government employee has not been reviewed for three years.
