Nepal signs MoU with Vietnam to bolster ties



HANOI: Nepal has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Vietnam to take bilateral relations and trade increment to a new height.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s has signed Agreements on Exemption of visa to diplomatic and official passport bearers and MoU on the establishment of bilateral consultation mechanism between two governments.

Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Shanker Das Bairagi and Ngyen Quoc Dung, representative of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, signed the agreements.

Similarly, a letter of intent on negotiation on trade and investment framework agreement was signed by secretary at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies Kedar Bahadur Adhikari and Deputy Minister of Industry of Vietnam, Dang Aoang An.

The signing ceremony was held at the Presidential Palace in the presence of Prime Ministers of Nepal and Vietnam
Oli is on an official visit to Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
