Biplav outfit’s student leader arrested

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested student leader of Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’-led outfit, Chiranjivi Dhakal, from Anamnagar on Friday.

Spokesperson at Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu Hobindra Bogati said that Dhakal was arrested while he was attending a function.

Dhakal is central chairman of the student wing of the ‘Biplav’-led outfit. Police said he was involved in extortion.

Some 343 leaders and cadres of the outfit have been arrested from different parts of the country after the government banned their activities.
