Two aircrafts of Buddha Air make emergency landings at TIA



KATHMANDU: Two aircrafts of Buddha Air have made emergency landings at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) Monday evening.

Buddha Air’s 9N-AMD flight that took off for Dhangadhi from Kathmandu returned from mid-way and landed at the airport at 6 pm after aircraft pilots’ encountered technical problem in the plane.

69 passengers were on board the 9N-AMD aircraft. According to the airline, passengers would be taken to Dhangadhi on a different aircraft Monday itself.

Similarly, another Buddha Air flight made an emergency landing at TIA at 7 pm. The flight that left for Nepalgunj was returned after a passenger fainted on the flight after take off.

A senior official of the company said the flight would leave for Nepalgunj after dropping off the ill passenger.
