Ignorance of health measures might lead to lockdown, cautions PM Oli

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli has cautioned that the lockdown might be enforced if the precautionary health measures are ignored.

Addressing the 55th Annual General Assembly of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, PM Oli said that citizens should also be vigilant to protect their lives.

He called on all to remain vigilant, pointing out that the coronavirus pandemic is spreading around the world again.

He also advised to follow the instructions given by the Ministry of Health to avoid being infected.

“If the instructions given by the Ministry of Health and Population are not followed, the corona infection might spread significantly, making the lockdown a compulsive measure to curb it,” PM Oli said.

He urged the industrial sector to pay special attention to the pandemic threat and ensure health safety protocols to stop the spread.
