Indian Army donates 1,00,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine



KATHMANDU: The Indian Army has provided 1,00,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines to the Nepal Army in grant aid.

The vaccine sent by the Indian Army arrived in Kathmandu on Saturday. “A total of 1,00,000 doses of vaccines have arrived in Kathmandu under grant assistance in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, the formal handover is scheduled to take place in a few days, ” said Army Spokesperson Lieutenant General Santosh Ballav Poudel.

Earlier, Nepal had brought 2.348 million doses of vaccine from India under grant assistance, procurement and Covax facility.
