Kathmandu Valley sees 835 new COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: As many as 835 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 625 cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu, 87 in Bhaktapur, and 113 in Lalitpur.

Meanwhile, a total of  1,948 people have been diagnosed coronavirus positive in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has reached 2,26,026 with fresh cases as of Wednesday afternoon.

A total of 3,140 individuals got discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 2,07,998 in the country.

Nepal currently has 16,639 active cases.

Likewise, 669 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.

As many as 28 people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death tally in the country to 1,389, according to the Ministry.
