VP Pun expresses grief over loss of lives and properties in disasters



KATHMANDU: Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun has expressed grief over the loss of lives and properties due to floods and landslides in different parts of the country including in Jugal rural municipality of Sindhupalchowk district.

He expressed condolences to the bereaved families. He also called for the government to provide adequate relief materials and arrange proper treatment for the landslide-displaced people.

Issuing a statement today, Vice-President Pun expressed grief over the loss of lives and properties in the floods and landslides that occurred in Sindhupalchowk, Kalikot, Jajarkot, Tanahun, Gorkha, Darchula, Kathmandu, Dolakha, Lalitpur, Bhojpur, Makawanpur, Khotang, Okhaldhunga and Kavre districts.

He urged all the concerned sides to remain on high alert when the meteorologists are forecasting incidents of floods, landslides and inundation and also place well preparedness.
