58 new cases in Gandaki Pradesh, tally jumps to 438



KATHMANDU: The number of coronavirus cases has reached 438 in Gandaki Pradesh after 58 people tested positive for coronavirus on Saturday morning.

According to a press note issued by the Ministry of Social Development of Gandaki Pradesh, the newly infected are 25 in Tanahun, 16 in Nawalpur, eight in Baglung, five in Gorkha, two in Kaski and one each in Myagdi and Syangja.

Among those infected are one woman, two minors and 55 are males aged between 16 to 47, said Spokesperson for the COVID-19 Control and  Prevention Program Dr Binod Bindu Sharma.

Among those infected are 21 males aged 1 to 37 from Rishing rural municipality of Tanahun.

Similarly, two males aged 24 and 28 from Byas municipality and two males aged 35 and 22 from Shuklagandaki municipality.

Among 16 infected in Nawalpur district, 11 are from Bulingtar rural municipality. All of them are males aged between 17 to 37.

Likewise, two males aged 25 and 45 have tested positive for coronavirus in Madhyabindu municipality.

Also confirmed cases include 47-year-old man in Baudikali rural municipality, 21-year-old man of Binayatribeni rural municipality and 19-year-old of Debchuli municipality of Nawalpur district.

Eight people including one woman aged between 22 to 39 have contracted coronavirus in Kathekhola rural municipality of Baglung district.

Similarly, five men aged 36, 33, 22, 35 and 28 have tested positive for coronavirus in Bhimsen municipality of Gorkha district.

41-year-old man and 19-month-old girl have tested positive for coronavirus in Madi rural municipality of Kaski.

Likewise, 30-year-old man of Malika rural municipality  and 29-year-old man whose local unit is yet to be confirmed have tested positive for coronavirus in Myagdi district.
