2 bln allocated for 10 modern cities along Mid Hill Highway



KATHMANDU: The government has allocated Rs 2 billion to promote urbanization in the country.

Presenting the budget for the Fiscal Year 2020/21, Finance Minister Yuba Raj Khatiwada said a budget will be allocated for building infrastructure for 10 cities along the Mid Hill Highway.

Minister Khtiwada said the budget will also be doled out for building a mega city and four sub cities in the country.

Meanwhile, power cable lines will be laid underground in cities including Kathmandu and Chitwan under the program.
