Nepal Embassy organizes Peace Walk on International Everest Day in Muscat



KATHMANDU: The Embassy of Nepal in Muscat organized a Peace Walk and Beach Cleaning event to mark International Everest Day on 29 May at the Qurum beach in Muscat.

According to the Embassy of Nepal in Muscat, the walk was organized along the Qurum beach. Representatives from Non-Resident Nepali organizations and foreign friends participated in the event.

Speaking at the programme, Nepal’s Ambassador to Oman Dornath Aryal expressed gratitude to the participants for active participation and highlighted the importance of such events in bringing the diaspora together and building up the image of Nepali community in Oman.

The Everest Day coincided with Republic Day of Nepal this year. A special ceremony was also organized at the Embassy of Nepal, Muscat to mark the Republic Day of Nepal.

On the occasion, Ambassador Aryal hoisted the National Flag of Nepal.

Ambassador Aryal highlighted the importance and historical aspects of Republic Day and underscored the basic features of the constitution and republican system, the Embassy of Nepal in Muscat stated in a press release.
