Government targets Rs 1.405 trillion revenue for FY 2026/27



KATHMANDU: The government has set a revenue target of Rs 1.405 trillion for the upcoming fiscal year 2026/27.

Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle made the announcement while presenting the budget in the Federal Parliament, stating that the revenue target has been set to support the financing of the proposed budget.

He also said the government expects to receive Rs 61.74 billion in foreign grants during the fiscal year.

In addition, the government plans to raise Rs 410 billion through domestic borrowing to manage expenditure requirements.
