Authorities collect Rs 812,000 in traffic enforcement revenue in Jumla



JUMLA: The District Traffic Office, Jumla, has collected Rs 812,000 in revenue over the past 11 months of the current fiscal year.

According to the office, the amount was generated through the enforcement of traffic rules and action against drunk driving, said Assistant Inspector of Police Jagat Bahadur Kathayat of the District Traffic Police Office, Jumla.

During the same period, 68 road accidents were recorded in the district. However, authorities reported that none of the incidents resulted in human casualties.

The Traffic Office noted that vehicle pressure in Jumla has been steadily increasing in recent years due to growing urbanization.
