HoR election: 43 days to go for voting

KATHMANDU: The filing of candidacies for the first-past-the-post (FPTP) system of the House of Representatives (HoR) election was completed successfully across the country on Tuesday, marking a key step in the run-up to the polls.

According to the election schedule, citizens and political parties can file complaints against any candidate registered under the FPTP system today. The Election Commission will review these complaints and release the final list of candidates tomorrow after necessary verification and scrutiny.

The Commission has emphasized that the nomination process was conducted smoothly and peacefully, reflecting increased participation and interest from candidates nationwide.

With just 43 days remaining until the March 5 election, preparations are now shifting toward finalizing candidates, assigning election symbols, and ensuring a fair and transparent voting process.
