PM Karki thanks security agencies for ensuring peaceful elections



DHANUSHA: Prime Minister (PM) Sushila Karki has expressed gratitude to the provincial government and security agencies for their role in ensuring peaceful elections in Madhes Province, including Dhanusha district.

Addressing a security meeting at Janakpur Airport today, Prime Minister Karki thanked Madhes Province Minister for Home, Communications and Law Fakira Mahato, senior security officials, and the district’s security leadership for successfully conducting the elections.

She said the role played by the provincial government and security bodies was commendable in ensuring historically peaceful polls despite various challenges and uncertainties.

Acting Chief Secretary of Madhes Province Kamal Prasad Bhattarai, Madhes Province Police Chief Deputy Inspector General Govinda Thapaliya, Chief District Officer of Dhanusha Prem Prasad Dahal, and heads of other security agencies were present at the meeting.
