KATHMANDU: Nine leaders, including General Secretary Keshav Kumar Jha, have left the Rajendra Mahato-led Rastriya Mukti Party, Nepal.
The leaders announced their separation from the party, citing dissatisfaction with recent political developments and the party’s style of functioning.
Those who have left include central-level leaders, among them General Secretary Jha. They said they decided to leave the party after concluding that the country’s politics cannot move forward under the old political approach and leadership.
Rajendra Mahato had announced the formation of the Rastriya Mukti Party, Nepal, ahead of the March 5 election. He formed the party by bringing together leaders who had left various political parties as well as leaders associated with identity-based movements.
