Report of commission formed to implement SC orders related to the transport sector submitted



KATHMANDU: The inquiry commission formed to implement the orders and judgments of the Supreme Court related to the transport sector has submitted its report to Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal.

A team of office bearers including the chair of the commission, Deepak Subedi, submitted the report to Minister Aryal today.

On the occasion, Home Minister Aryal expressed his commitment to implement the report soon. The government had decided to form a three-member inquiry commission to submit a report with opinions and suggestions related to the transport sector. The members of the commission are Sharad Adhikari and Yogendra Nath Karmacharya.

The mandate of the inquiry commission was set to investigate and submit a report with suggestions on the pollution situation, route permits, transport vehicles and transport operation methods, vehicle and transport operation and transparency, safety, compensation, liability determination in accidents, syndicates, cartelling, etc.
