Man arrested for allegedly killing wife in Bhaktapur



KATHMANDU: A man has been arrested on the charge of killing his wife following a domestic dispute in Bhaktapur.

According to the District Police Range, Bhaktapur, the incident took place on Thursday night at a rented house in Chhaling, Bhaktapur Municipality-10.

Police spokesperson Deputy Superintendent of Police Prakash Jabegu said that 33-year-old Salina Bishwakarma was allegedly attacked with a khukuri by her husband, Bidur Bishwakarma, a resident of Shankharapur Municipality-6, Nanglebhare, Kathmandu.

Salina died in the attack, while their eight-year-old son, Trishal, sustained injuries.

Police have arrested Bidur Bishwakarma on the charge of murder and have initiated further investigation into the case.
