CNP suspends jeep safari from today
Chitwan National Park (CNP) has suspended its commercial jeep safari service from today due to monsoon-related risks. The CNP said the decision was taken because heavy rainfall during the rainy season often causes flooding, fallen trees and poor road conditions, making safari operations unsafe and inconvenient for visitors. Information Officer Abinash Thapa Magar said the suspension will remain in effect until further notice. “We have halted safari operations because the monsoon is the breeding season for many wild animals and birds. Unpaved forest roads deteriorate during this period, streams overflow and fallen trees frequently block access routes,” he said.
