Nepal Samajwadi Party decides to unite with Maoist Centre



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Samajwadi Party (NSP), led by Mahindra Ray Yadav, has decided to unite with the CPN (Maoist Centre). In a central committee meeting held on Thursday, the party resolved to recognize, Coordinator of the General Convention Organizing Committee of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ as the coordinator for the unification process.

According to General Secretary Ramesh Prasad Yadav, an official announcement is expected by Kartik 20. A three-member negotiation team, led by Chairman Yadav, has been formed to finalize remaining issues with the Maoists. Yadav stated, “Prachanda has assured that all parties will be given a respectful position.”

Nesspa is also preparing to advance unification talks with the CPN (Unified Socialist) and the faction led by Prem Bahadur Singh.
