Govt allocates 8 billion for Sikta and Greater Dang irrigation projects



KATHMANDU: The government has allocated 8 billion rupees for the Sikta and Greater Dang Irrigation Projects.

Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel announced this allocation in the budget for the upcoming fiscal year.

The headwork and powerhouse construction of the Bheri Babai Diversion Project is expected to be completed within two years, with a budget of 2.7 billion rupees allocated for the work.

Additionally, 1.82 billion rupees has been set aside for the maintenance of irrigation systems.
