KATHMANDU: Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Indira Rana Magar, returned to Nepal last night after completing a six-day official visit to the People’s Republic of China.
During her stay, Deputy Speaker Magar participated in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Media and Think Tank Summit, held from July 23 to 27 in Henan Province.
Addressing the summit’s inaugural session, she reaffirmed Nepal’s commitment to the principles and objectives of the SCO, expressing optimism that the organization would play a pivotal role in promoting prosperity among its member states.
While in Henan, Magar also held meetings with Chinese provincial officials and visited several cultural and economic sites, including the provincial capital, Zhengzhou.
Her visit aimed to strengthen Nepal-China relations and explore avenues for deeper engagement through multilateral forums like the SCO.
