KATHMANDU: Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely in parts of the hilly areas of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Sudurpaschim Provinces, with a few isolated showers possible in other regions as well, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.
The Division has also forecast chances of light rain and snowfall in a few high hilly and mountainous areas.
The current weather is influenced by a mix of westerly and local winds, along with partial moisture-laden winds from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea.
As a result, hilly regions in the mentioned provinces will experience partly to generally cloudy conditions, while the rest of the country is expected to remain mainly clear to partly cloudy.
The Division has advised the public to take necessary precautions, noting that rainfall and lightning in scattered areas across all seven provinces could disrupt daily life, agriculture, health services, as well as road and air transport.
