One dead in accident in Nagadhunga

KATHMANDU: One person died in a van accident at Nagadhunga in Chandragiri Municipality-2 on Sunday evening.

The Hi Ace van (Ga1 Kha 5546), traveling from Chitwan to Kathmandu, lost control and crashed, according to the District Police Range, Kathmandu.

The victim, identified as Sabina Gurung, aged around 25, sustained critical injuries and was rushed to the National Trauma Center, where she succumbed to her injuries during treatment.

Authorities have not yet disclosed further details about her identity or whereabouts.

Two other injured passengers are receiving treatment at the National Trauma Center, while one is being treated at Annapurna Neuro Hospital, Maitighar.

The police have taken the driver of the van into custody for investigation. Further inquiries are ongoing to determine the cause of the accident and assess any potential negligence involved.
