Cricket head coach Stuart to arrive in Nepal on Friday

KATHMANDU: The head coach of the Nepali national cricket team, Stuart Law, is set to arrive in Nepal on Friday, according to Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) spokesperson Chhumbi Lama.

Training matches involving 52 players will begin the following day, Saturday, after Law’s arrival.

CAN has released the schedule for a practice league featuring four teams, formed from the 52 selected players.

The league will be conducted in two phases, with the goal of assisting Coach Law in team selection and development based on player performance during the matches.

CAN appointed former Australian batsman Stuart as head coach for a two-year term starting this April.

Previously, Law served as the head coach of the U.S. national team, and has also held coaching roles with Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Australia.
