74-year-old woman dies after being hit by van in Udaypur



UDAYPUR: A 74-year-old woman died after being struck by a van in Udaypur district.

According to the District Police Office, Kotimaya Danuwar of Chuhade, Triyuga Municipality–4, was fatally injured today after being hit by a van traveling from Katari Municipality toward the district headquarters, Gaighat.

The incident occurred near a stream (jhoda) in Triyuga Municipality–8. Police stated that the van struck Danuwar while moving forward after dropping off passengers at the location.

Danuwar, who sustained serious injuries, was immediately taken to the District Hospital for treatment but died later in the evening during medical care.
