Identity and self-respect of Muslim community improving: Prachanda

PARSA: Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has stated that the identity and self-respect of the Muslim community have improved compared to the past.

However, the former Prime Minister acknowledged that the Muslim community still faces some discriminatory practices. He made these remarks during a meeting with members of the Muslim community in Birgunj city on Thursday.

Dahal emphasized that all ethnic, linguistic, and religious communities should be treated equally.

During his party’s ongoing political campaign in the Tarai-Madhes region, the Maoist Centre Chairman argued that the initiative aims to foster coordination and promote social goodwill. He also described the campaign as a step toward maintaining political stability in the country.

The Maoist Centre is conducting various programs in Parsa district today as part of its Tarai-Madhes awakening campaign along the Postal Highway. Top party leaders have already arrived in Parsa for the event.
