Two youths die, four injured in Myagdi tractor accident



MYAGDI: Two youths have died and four others have been injured in a tractor accident in Myagdi.

The accident occurred last evening when a tractor (Ga 1 Ta 7196) overturned in Dhawalagiri Rural Municipality-2, Lulang, according to the District Police Office of Myagdi.

The victims were identified as local residents Devin BK, 18, and Purnalal Rasaili, 21.

Police Inspector Sagar Poudel of the District Police Office reported that Purnalal died at the scene, while Devin passed away during treatment at the Lulang Health Post.

In addition, four individuals were injured in the accident: Kabiraj BK and Kamal BK, both from the same area; Bikash BK from Malika Rural Municipality-6, Darbang; and Kismat BK from Dhawalagiri Rural Municipality-4.

After receiving initial treatment at the Lulang Health Post, the injured were transferred to the district headquarters, Beni, for further care.

One of the seriously injured was later taken to Manipal Hospital in Pokhara for advanced treatment.

The accident occurred when the tractor veered off the road, falling approximately 150 meters.
