KATHMANDU: Nepali IT training company Broadway Infosys Pvt. Ltd. has won the Digital Talent Development Award from the World Innovation, Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA).
The award was presented on Tuesday, August 19, during a special ceremony at the WITSA Global AI Summit 2025 held in Taipei, Taiwan.
According to the organizers, Broadway was recognized for its contribution to Nepal’s education and technology sector through professional IT training, as well as for its role in producing skilled human resources. The award also acknowledged the company’s significant contribution to Nepal’s broader digital transformation.
Directors Hari Krishna Adhikari and Uttam Adhikari received the award on behalf of Broadway Infosys. In a statement, the company said the honor was not only a recognition of its dedication but also proof of the positive impact it has made on Nepal’s overall IT landscape.
WITSA is a global umbrella organization representing ICT associations from over 80 countries. In Nepal, the Computer Association of Nepal (CAN) Federation is a member of WITSA. The Global AI Summit is considered an important platform that brings together leaders from industry, government, academia, and research institutions worldwide.
This year’s summit, held under the theme “AI Shaping the Digital World”, highlighted the role of artificial intelligence in innovation and digital development. Awards were presented in 13 categories, with hundreds of companies from across the globe submitting nominations.
Ahead of the award ceremony, a delegation from CAN Federation met Taiwan’s Minister of Digital Affairs, Dr. Yu-Nen Huang, to share insights on Nepal’s digital journey and the federation’s role in policy-making in collaboration with the government. CAN Federation’s General Secretary, Chandra Bilas Bhurtel, also briefed the minister on the federation’s recent policy suggestions for Nepal’s newly drafted Artificial Intelligence (AI) policy.
The Nepali delegation included former CAN Federation president and WITSA treasurer Ranjit Kumar Poddar, CAN manager Udeep Baral, Horivon Nepal director Jitendra Poddar, and other representatives.
